In preparation for the upcoming 2019 Rugby World Cup, CCCJ along with other chambers of Japan, make up the rest of the Rugby Alliance members have organized the Diversity in Rugby event. This was our second event out of the series of events that was hosted by the Rugby Alliance. Another amazing night to remember!

Over 160 guests attended the 3rd edition of Joint-Chamber Sake night at Tokyo American Club on March 22, 2019.

The 6th Tohoku Internship Project has concluded on Sunday, March 10, as the students from Takata High School headed back to their hometown.

Since 2012, the CCCJ and Ganbatte365 have been active in organizing the program, which welcomes high school students from Rikuzentakata for a week-long internship and homestay experience in Tokyo.

This Wednesday, February 20th, the CCCJ hosted an alumni mixer for graduates from Canadian universities at the Hobgoblin, Roppongi. The night saw around fifty guests, bringing together familiar faces and new people. Both CCCJ members and non-members bonded over shared connections to Canada and Japan. At the end of the night, some guests participated in a trivia event from the HOPE International Development Agency's weekly quiz night at the Hobgoblin.

On January 21,  We at the CCCJ were thrilled to have 24 people come listen to Ms. Kiyo Weiss talk about her experience in corporate environment, her challenges and also how to manage best as a working-mother. It was an inspiring talk to learn about her career progression.

Overall, the seminar was a great success and at the end of the event, guests shared their views, opinions and their challenges in their working environment.

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce along with 15 foreign Chambers of Commerce hosted the annual Joint Chamber Bonenkai on December 11, 2018 at the Embassy of Canada to Japan. Representatives from each chamber joined Vice-President Robert Fuller in a kanpai, celebrating this year's hard work. The event was well attended with over 300 guests. In collaboration with Trowbridge International Tax and Altesta Corporation the seminar was about Canadians living or working abroad on TAX AND PENSION PLANNING.

On November 13h, we had a wonderful networking event, "Autumn Chambering" organized by ICCJ (Italian Chamber of Commerce) in collaboration with ACCJ (American Chamber of Commerce in Japan), and CCCJ!

First World War centenary, 11 am, 11th November 2018 was held at the Commonwealth War Cemetery in Hodogaya, Yokohama, Japan. Our chairman Neil van Wouw, CCCJ member Mr. Harold Archer, Mr. Caleb Gibbonsand Mr. Samuel Gildar attended the ceremony.

On October 3, 2018, CCCJ Chair Neil van Wouw along with 9 other CCCJ executives met with Ambassador of Canada to Japan Ian Burney as a part of the CCCJ Executive Forum. Ambassador Burney welcomed CCCJ executives to the Official Residence, and offered his gratitude to the members of the Canada-Japan business community. Ambassador Burney updated CCCJ members on the recently agreed USMCA (formerly known as NAFTA) between Canada, U.S., and Mexico, as well as the current status of CPTPP and the newly annouced LNG investment in Canada that is the largest single investment in Canadian history (incl. Mitsubishi Corproation).

On the evening of September 21, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce (CCCJ) hosted a Canadian University Alumni Mixer event. This exciting night brought together new friends and old friends alike!
